Gail Mason Gail creates exuberant gestural paintings, full of movement and space. She explores the experience of the emotional landscape through imagined and unseen places.
Offering a sense of perspective, utilising the restorative and hopeful aspects of nature, and the enlivening or calming impact of colour. Building in layers of transparency, using mark-making to suggest form rather than dictate. Widely shown as a professional artist, she has received several National awards, and her work selected for many open exhibitions including the Royal Academy Summer Show, the Mall Galleries London, the Royal West of England Academy and Bankside Gallery. She is an elected member of the Bath Society of Artists, and the RWA Artists Network and Somerset Printmakers, and is currently co-chair of North Somerset Arts. |
